Founded in 1999 by Jose Omar Rodriguez, Capucas takes its name from the nearby town of Las Capucas. This Honduran coffee is clean and balanced, with a delicate acidity and lingering sweetness – appreciated by coffee lovers of all experience levels. The cooperative places great emphasis on improving the quality of life for its employees and the local community, for example through free healthcare, university education, and other social projects.
