Brazil, the world's largest coffee producer, uses a gentle and natural process to decaffeinate its coffee. The green coffee beans are hydrated with fresh, locally sourced water and a specially developed Green Coffee Extract (GCE). The mixture then slowly flows through activated carbon filters until 99.9% of the caffeine is removed. This approximately ten-hour process preserves the natural aroma and ensures that flavor and purity remain in balance – resulting in a decaffeinated coffee that tastes as authentic as the bean itself.
